Imagine your guests planning, rehearsing, choreographing, costuming, and competing onstage for prizes and glory, all within a few hours. From the moment the guests arrive, and receive their backstage passes, to their superstar recording sessions in Tipitina’s digital recording studio, or to head-to-head “battles” on the world-famous Tipitina’s stage, these are the ultimate executive challenges. The only way to win is to go all out, working together.

It all begins at Tipitina’s state-of-the-art recording studio. Your group will tour the facility, seeing the actual digital recording gear, control room, CD manufacturing operation, and other audio/video production suites. They will meet the professional audio and video engineers, and world-famous musicians, who will entertain, instruct, encourage, and inspire the group throughout the entire team building experience.

Picture your Team…

Surrounded by microphones, and caught on videotape, in one of the studio’s live rooms. Or imagine them in one of our many practice spaces, in the heat of a full-fledged band rehearsal. Bonding with the professional musicians and other group members, learning the lyrics, and experiencing the theory behind the music. Then working out the moves, perfecting the steps, feeling the music, playing a tambourine or cymbals, and designing a wild costume. All the while plotting how they will sing and dance to victory over the competition.

Studio Session experiences climax in a real recording session, where your guests are the stars…assisted by a team of world-class New Orleans musicians. By the time we’re through with them, your guests will look and sound like music professionals, and will have custom CDs and/or videotapes to prove it.

On-Stage team building exercises culminate in an American Superstar-style Battle of the Bands, on the legendary Tipitina’s stage. Participants will be dazzled by the lights, the music, the surroundings, the audience, and the applause. Each competing group takes a turn on stage - backed by ace New Orleans session musicians - and raise the roof (or bring down the house) for the adoring fans and encouraging judges.

Judging is usually done by a celebrity musician or group not involved with the competition – someone who may be capping off the festivities with a performance of their own! The event may be emceed by a local celebrity, or your company’s own CEO.

A complete video of the day’s events can be provided. It’s an excellent tool for critiquing each group’s performance, pinpointing strengths and weaknesses, and identifying ways to implement the lessons learned. The video also makes for a very entertaining meeting back at the office. The entire event may be Webcast live over the Internet, to colleagues around the world.
